About Mark

This is not your ordinary fitness trainer

Mark Wasylik has more than 35 years of experience as a personal fitness trainer, working first in Colorado and Pennsylvania, and now in Palm Beach County.

Add to that a laid-back approach, a dry sense of humor, and the widest imaginable range of interests. It’s earned him a large and devoted clientele—a diverse group that spans ages 15 to 99, and includes every level of mastery.

Mark has certificates in:

  • Yoga Instruction
  • Personal Training
  • Strength and Conditioning
  • Fitness Testing

He’s also a Licensed Massage Therapist. And for more than 25 years he has led a stretch class, three times a week, that is standing room only.

Just as important is the respect he has earned from his fellow fitness trainers, who look up to him as a renowned Trainer as well as an entrepreneur.

Fitness TrainerHe’s good. But he’s also interesting. An avid bird-watcher since his early teen years in Pittsburgh, Mark continues to be one of birding’s most passionate advocates. In addition to frequent trips throughout Florida, he travels widely to other bird migration sites.

Recent trips include Gaspé Peninsula, Costa Rica, the Dakotas, southeastern Arizona, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and the Bahamas—all at peak migration periods.

Mark is a skilled mountain biker, an avid fisherman, and a hiker. He is an expert fan of professional sports as well as a former athlete. He’s also a devoted reader. And an expert connoisseur of the world’s beers.

Today his practice is focused primarily in South Palm Beach, Hypoluxo Island, Manalapan and Lantana, Florida.

If you can’t find time to get in shape, you’ve got to make time. Mark Wasylik will make it worth your effort. He’s the Real Deal!

Personal Training Services

Mark offers personalized training in the following areas:

Stamina/Endurance

Whether you’re an athlete or you’re looking to improve your overall fitness, stamina lets you exert yourself to complete the task. Cardiovascular training is key to upping our endurance and getting stamina. Also, a customized exercise workout that gradually builds in intensity will increase stamina and endurance.

Balance Training

An effective way to reduce the risk of injury in sports with quick direction changes, such as basketball, tennis, soccer. Balance training may even benefit elderly people by reducing their risk of falling.

Strength Training

It’s not just for jocks anymore. In addition to cardio exercise, strength training is essential to keeping fit over time. It builds muscle, to burn fat more efficiently. Plus it increases bone density, making you less vulnerable to osteoporosis. It also helps prevent diabetes, depression, injury and more.

Core Training

Your core is your base of support. It’s what lets you stand upright, and move your body as well as your arms and legs. More than abdominals, it incorporates the entire mid-section, the muscles that stabilize you and prevent back injury. With a strong core you can move easily and powerfully.

Cardiovascular Training

Also known as aerobic exercise, “cardio” includes walking, jogging, bicycling, swimming—any exercise that uses large muscle groups continuously and rhythmically. Over time, cardio strengthens the heart. This benefits blood pressure and also cholesterol levels, as well as diabetes, anxiety and depression.

Stretching/Flexibility

Use it or lose it. So long as your joints can move through their full range of motion, you can maintain a fully active life. Muscles also benefit from stretching, which increases flexibility as well as blood flow to the muscles. The risk of injury from activity can be reduced through a regular program of stretching.

If this was easy, everybody would be beautiful! Mark can help you make it happen. He’s the Real Deal!

Linda Jolley
I am an owner of a full service health club and class studio in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. I am also a CPT, and certified Zumba instructor. My husband and I spend the winters in Palm Beach County and both of us have been working out with Mark in Lantana for the last 5 years. We find Mark to be professional, and very knowledgeable about various training approaches – both older and newer. He has the unique ability to adapt his training approach to the individual, based on their general health and fitness objectives. I would recommend Mark without hesitancy and will continue to work with him when in Palm Beach.
Roseann McGeehin
I have known and trained with Mark since 1994, and I guess the best testimony to his knowledge and expertise as a trainer is to look at the clientele who train with him consistently, old or young, male or female. They all have the best bodies in the gym—lean, muscular, flexible, and for a good reason—Mark Wasylik!
Brandt Wilkes
It was my doctor’s idea, not mine, to begin a rigorous fitness routine. Thankfully people around me talked enthusiastically about working out with Mark. And not just working out with him, but attending his stretch class. I listened. And I benefited.

Mark’s masterful command of my exercise routine has won me the praise of long-time body-builders at the gym. More importantly, I’m entering the second half of my life as fit as I can be. Not only fit, but also flexible and with a restored sense of balance—thanks to stretch class.

I could find reasons not to go to the gym, but honestly working with Mark is a high point of the week. The conversation is always off-beat, interesting and funny. Fitness is Mark’s expertise. But so is bird-watching, books, beer, you name it. Unbeatable.
